Marsa Alam Storm Drainage Networks
Egypt
Project Description
Marsa Alam, situated in south-eastern Egypt along the western shore of the Red Sea, is renowned for its pristine coastline and natural beauty. The area is characterized by several wadis that run eastward towards the sea, which occasionally experience heavy rainfall during the winter months, leading to potential flash floods.
To address these challenges and safeguard the city’s development, the government has undertaken significant efforts to establish a comprehensive flood protection system. These measures align with the broader initiative to transform Marsa Alam into a premier tourist destination, capitalizing on its unique location and environmental assets.
