Scope of Work

The project scope includes the following enhanced services for comprehensive design and construction supervision:

Design Review of Roads and Structural Works:
Thorough evaluation and review of all road designs and structural works to ensure they meet safety standards, regulatory requirements, and project specifications. This includes addressing design challenges and proposing improvements for optimized functionality and durability.

Construction Supervision:

  • Traffic Management during Construction: Effective management of traffic flow and safety during the construction phase, ensuring minimal disruption and safeguarding public and worker safety.
  • Quality Control: Rigorous inspection, testing, and evaluation processes to ensure that all materials and work performed meet the highest quality standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Time and Progress Control: Continuous monitoring of project timelines, tracking milestones, and implementing corrective measures to address delays, ensuring the project stays on schedule.
  • Contract Administration: Management of all contract-related activities, including the timely processing of variation orders, resolving disputes, and overseeing claims management to maintain project integrity and minimize risks.
  • Contractor’s Submittals Review and Approval: Detailed review of contractor submittals such as materials, shop drawings, and method statements, ensuring full compliance with project specifications and regulatory standards.
  • Risk Management and Control: Proactive identification, assessment, and management of risks throughout the construction process, ensuring that potential issues are addressed promptly and effectively.
  • Payment Certificates Review and Approval: Careful verification of payment certificates, ensuring they reflect work completed to date and comply with contractual terms before approvals are made.
  • Project Documentation and Reporting: Comprehensive maintenance of all project documentation, including progress reports, meeting minutes, and change logs, ensuring clear communication and proper record-keeping for all stakeholders.
  • Review of As-Built Drawings and Final Payment Certificate: Final review of as-built drawings to confirm accurate representation of completed works, and validation of the final payment certificate to ensure that all contractual obligations are fulfilled before project closure.

These enhanced services ensure efficient project execution, adherence to timelines, budget control, and compliance with quality and safety standards, contributing to the successful and seamless completion of the project.

Project Description

The project encompasses several essential roadworks in the Eastern Region, including, but not limited to:

  • Improvement and Widening of Dammam/Jubail Highway (Phase 3): – Expanding the highway to four lanes in each direction over a 34-kilometer stretch to enhance capacity and traffic flow.
  • Construction of a Road from King Khalid Military City to the Interchange of Deghailib Al-Wajan: Providing improved connectivity to key regional infrastructure.
  • Completion of Dhahran/Al Aqeer/Salwa Road with Interchanges (Group 3): Finalizing the remaining works to ensure seamless transportation links across the region.
  • Connecting Dammam/Jubail Road with Riyadh/Dammam Highway and Dhahran/Aqeer/Salwa Road: Completing a 16-kilometer road segment to link with the Abqaiq Road interchange, enhancing regional road network integration and accessibility.
  • Group 2 Roads:
    – Haradh – Kharj Road, rehabilitation of the existing route, our scope is 106.7km from station (1120+300) to (1227+000)
    – Haradh – Hofouf Road, rehabilitation of the existing route, our scope is 33.495km from station (996+000) to (1036+000)
  • Group 8 Roads:
    – Haradh – El-Batha Road is the world’s longest stretch of straight road is around 256 kilometers and cuts through the Rub Al-Khali desert, our scope is 91km from station (94+337) to (184+800)
    – El-Batha –Sheiba – Umm Al-Zamool Road is the link with Sultanate of Oman, The project will cover the construction of a 570km road and will include demolition works of 130,000 sq.m., lighting works of 30km road and other related facilities, our scope is 50km from station (9+000) to station (59+000).
  • Group 10 Roads:
    – Al-Ahsa Ring Road, the project consists of 22km and 4 interchanges, two-way 4 lane each, bridges structural system are pre-stressed girders of spans varies from 20-33m.
    Al-Hofouf – Al-Uqair Road, the project is a duplicating of 60km.
  • Group 21 Roads:
    El-Batha – Sheiba Road, the project is constructing shoulders on both sides and maintenance for the existing road.
