Project Description
Aligned with the objectives of Saudi Arabia’s Vision 2030, the project aims to enhance traffic safety by adopting the International Road Assessment Programme (iRAP) methodology to reduce traffic fatalities and mitigate their human and economic impacts. Euro Group for Engineering Consultancy is implementing a comprehensive initiative to improve traffic safety across approximately 400 km of road network managed by the Eastern Province Municipality in Dammam.

Scope of Work
- Conducting a comprehensive survey of the road network, intersections, bridges, and tunnels, and performing an engineering analysis to identify traffic safety needs and address issues affecting traffic flow.
- Utilizing Geographic Information Systems (GIS) to create an integrated database containing all data related to the road network and updating it based on field surveys.
- Preparing lists of deficiencies in safety projects, such as road markings, traffic signs, barriers, and others, based on the results of the engineering assessment.
- Transferring and localizing knowledge by organizing training sessions and regular workshops for municipality engineers to raise awareness of traffic safety and promote the exchange of expertise.
- Auditing traffic safety for proposed traffic diversions and conducting field visits to existing diversions to ensure compliance with the highest safety standards
