Project Description
Mangrove Eco –Park project scope includes preparing a comprehensive eco-plan to save the mangrove forest that start from Darien to Ras Tanura shores, developing eco-tourism to enable the mangrove Eco-park initiative, proposing new areas for planting mangrove trees to become the largest mangrove project in GCC countries, and The project aims to develop a unique eco-tourism destination on Darien and Tarout Island by establishing the largest Mangrove Ecological Project in the Gulf Cooperation Council countries.
The park will become an eco-cultural destination, featuring a 5+ km boardwalk and promenade, with 250 hectares of new mangroves planted. Luxurious eco-lodges and a visitor center will be located within the mangrove forest, offering an immersive experience.
The park will include birdwatch towers, mangrove glamping, and a new heritage village. Accessible by a dedicated road, the park will also offer cycling and pedestrian routes, along with boat services for tours, blending traditional and modern architectural styles.Â
